Am I beautiful now?
Can I put the knife down?

pale blue veins look inviting
when I think of how you can't stand me
I'm way too this
way too that
not moderate enough
and I'm always way too fat

If beauty is only skin deep
then why do I go beyond my skin

where
wine seeps
and
minds weep

Am I beautiful now?

Now that I'm here
and my life in on the ground

blades come in
life flows out
with out a sound

Am I beautiful now?

Um, even though it might not seem it, I think this poem does fit into the romantic catagory.... But you know it might make sence to you...I guess I'm just explaining it to myself? ((yes I was mildly cunfused XD)) I don't think I have to explain what it's about, self evident right?

Beauty is a fickle, wicked, and lovely thing, wouldn't you agree?

beauty is not only skin deep. society today seems to think they know what beauty really is but have they ever stopped to think of their stupidity?

Excellent way to depict wishes of one to be seen as they are, and not with the standard of those size-0 models.

It's a primitive, violent and powerful way to "reveal" what's inside of you, with a parallel to the depression brought about not being accepted.

I like it.

I'm glad! It's just so frustrating to look through a catalog and see something that looks great, but when you buy it, it doesn't look nearly as fabulous.
